Ann Marie Sullivan is a Partner at Sullivan & Carter, where her practice focuses on consultation, registration, and litigation of Intellectual Property. Her services are provided to companies and creatives big and small, both in the U.S. and in foreign jurisdictions. Previously, she was the owner and principal attorney at AM Sullivan Law, LLC.
Ms. Sullivan has focused her practice specifically on intellectual property law—including in the areas of trademark, copyright, publishing, branding, and entertainment law. She has experience handling a wide array of intellectual property and general legal matters, as she has and continues to manage intellectual property at every stage – from initial due diligence and clearance searches, to the drafting and filing of trademark and copyright applications, responding to USPTO office actions, managing IP portfolios, IP licensing, and in the enforcement of various intellectual property rights.
Having an art background, Ms. Sullivan understands and appreciates the blood, sweat, and tears that go into the creation, value, and marketing of an IP portfolio, and she is focused on guiding and protecting your IP every step of the way.
Ms. Sullivan received her J.D. and Certificate in Intellectual Property from John Marshall Law School. As a law student, she was the Lead Articles Editor for The John Marshall Law School’s Review of Intellectual Property Law, where her article on the intersection of Copyright and New Media remains one of the Law Review’s “Most Popular Articles.” Prior to law school, Ms. Sullivan earned her Art History degree from The Savannah College of Art and Design.
